What is Watershed Resilience for Working Landscapes?

A program for Ag Producers and Land Managers to increase their operation sustainability by improving water reliability, increasing irrigation efficiencies, increasing forage production, and providing technical and funding assistance to anyone who would like help.

As an Ag Producer and/or Land Manager, are you struggling with:

  • Reduced water availability due to droughts
  • Risk of wildfire impacting your lands
  • Reduced forage production
  • Increased operational costs for equipment and materials
  • Impacts to your land post fire
  • Overwhelmed with where to start on projects to improve my working landscape

Given the struggles that landowners face, the Watershed Resilience Team is working to make it easier for everyone to participate in funding opportunities to improve their agricultural operations.

How we can help:

  • More reliable water
  • Reduce risk of catastrophic wildfires
  • Increase forage production
  • Reduce operating costs
  • Restore landscapes affected by fire
  • Provide technical assistance navigating funding opportunities

Landowner Testimony

“By 2014, even in the midst of severe drought, Susie Creek had water all summer. A lot of my peers were having to haul water to stock.”

-Jon Griggs, Maggie Creek Ranch
