Riparian Habitat Improvements

Task:

Complete 60% design package for aquatic and riparian enhancement projects along 20 miles of tributaries and mainstem Chewaucan River reaches. Habitat enhancements will include large wood and boulder replacements, low-tech process-based restoration treatments, and riparian revegetation.

Location:

Mainstem Chewaucan and Tributaries

Engineer:

SWCA Environmental Consultants

Rangeland Enhancement Prescriptions

Task:

Design rangeland components to enhance grazing management, livestock access to streams, and management of invasive plant species. Strategies will aim to restore normative processes in rangelands to address accelerated runoff and erosion rates.

Location:

Ben Young sub watershed

Mill Creek sub watershed

Mainstem Chewaucan ((Burford Canyon to Dairy/Elder confluence)

Consultant:

Post-Fire Restoration Treatments

Task:

Compile field assessment data and develop post-fire recovery restoration treatments.  ArcGIS will be used to produce prescription maps. The prescription treatments and acreage will be summarized to develop implementation costs. Proposed treatments will include cross-contour felling of burned trees, invasive plant species treatments, and seeding and replanting impacted areas.
